Participation of both care givers and children is vital in child protection. It increases the quality of assessment, the willingness to make use of help and as a consequence the likelihood of intervening successfully. However, engaging children can be challenging, especially –but not only – in case of disabled or younger children. We now added to the MAPChiPP Toolbox three more videos offering guidance on how to communicate with children in an engaging manner (see M04: Information and Documentation and M07: Communicating with Children). These videos have originally been developed by our project partner Child and Family Training and are thus in English. However, subtitle are available in ten languages all together (Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Romanian).
